		<description>I read this with interest. I will say that I agree with almost all you have said here. Consolidation and the suring up of systems after rapid expansion is always a good idea. Especially when budgets are tighter than perhaps they once were.

Time to plug holes in systems and polish them up so they shine and the people who worked so hard to implement them get the credit they finally deserve.

As for being ready for the upturn I think thats definately a good sentiment and it is defiantely true that if good people see better opportunities they will skip over for pastures new.. especially if they have perhaps been in the same place for a while and been through a period of uncertainty. However the way I tend to approach these periods is to hit it head on with positive attitude, and with enough of that and good people I have seen miracles performed.</description>
